Evolution of the NZ Flag

LI: To understand the story behind our flag.

Our challenge for this task was to create a collaborative DLO about the Evolution of the NZ Flag. I have also worked collaboritavely with my working buddy, discussing about the information of the flag. After gathering up the information, we describe its meaning and how it looked like before, and then putting it in a Google presentation! In one of the slides we explained of how the flag looked like before and after.

Something I found interesting was the first and current flag, because I have never thought of the current United Tribe flag as the second design.

Hauora Poster

In order to construct the Hauora poster, you will have to search for one pair that you do not usually make or do projects and work with. Alongside with your working buddy that you’ve chosen, Two of you will help and find important information about Hauora and its very own meaning to make the poster understandable and educating throught the given details searched up from the internet or your own prior knowledge which could also mean to use your own thinking along with what you could remember from getting educated. But as for Hauora, It is a Maori belief and has Four walls, First wall is called Taha Tinana, Second wall is Taha Wairua, Third wall is Taha Hinengaro, and lastly the Fourth wall is Taha Whanau. Inside the image on top of this paragraph shows more information for Hauora, Both text’s are examples that show what Hauora is.

I found this activity fun and pretty easy because drawing the house and helping eachother find information as pairs makes it easier to do the poster.

Tech – Steam

The topic for visiting Tech in Tamaki college is similiar to art but each of every subjects is all mixed together, for an example- everyone in the classroom was teached and also discussed about how unity works, making houses on a sheet of paper, drawing whilst listening to our teacher also including by reading books about Nanda, Ram, Roshni, Anju and some other anonymous two with no name but a role for them is included such as the mother and the fiance, as well as learning more about science and how light is the fastest thing on earth alongside with not even a single thing could have a chance of beating the speed of light. It travel 300,000 Kilometers per second which no single object nor something fast created in this earth can outrun a single raise of sunshine.

I found this learning in steam interesting as well of it being educating as I learnt from each minute passing by  about the rise of a single light that travels over 300,000 each second.

Paris Host City – Olympics

The first step of the lesson is to first find a working buddy that could alongside work and discuss the project together with you while in the duration of the Google Slide/Presentation. The both of our teachers in the classroom have given everyone learning and many information about a very large stadium Paris wasted 10 billion euros for the Olympics. But the problem with wasting that various amount of Euros for the Olympics stadium is abandoning it in a very short period of time and never using it ever again, which makes it look like an abandoned hunted place where ghosts live in and along with wasting countless of cash just for it to look like a place where you would never ever visit. What makes it two times creepier are Beijing’s Olympic mascots laying around almost everywhere on the ground, Also including some of them laying on top of the creepy bushes. But as the lesson goes on, The pair you chose will make a Google slide for all the information you’ve learnt and listened for of Paris’s situation.

I found this activity educating because i learnt all the problems Paris had with my pair!

Scary Sea Creature

The very first step for the already stated lesson is to find one pair to work and find a Google image with your working buddy side by side. What you yourself and the working pair is going to have research is image an inspiration of a disgusting looking sea creature that are probably found from one of the deepest part of the ocean
or practically near the surface area. After the following start of creating the selected inspired image of a horrifying sea mammal in Google Draw, Both yourself and the pair will work out together of finding the AI generated version of the inspirational creature with the partner.

I found this activity pretty scary, fun and hard. It was scary because I was working with a person I do not usually work with, the hard part was most likely the finding the AI bits for the chosen species. But more likely the fun part is to find an ugly sea creature alongside with it inspired and created in Google Drawing!

Swimming

Yesterday was Thursday which can also include the fact that it is the time to learn in the swimming pool. Every Thursday is when our classrooms could go to the pool and learn how to swim step by step so we could stay aware of the ocean surrounding our country. The drowning system is very high and it is very important to learn swimming as to make sure to not never drown just in case of a flood happening in our country. The group I am in, is also learning how to swim safely so that us people could not drown from a flood or accident.

Ancient Olympics – Kahoot

My pair and myself created a “Kahoot!” quiz for the Ancient Greek Olympics. Finding clues and remembered information from what each and every one of us has been learning more about the Ancient Greek Olympics. Adding question for an example like “What sports they had in the Ancient time?”, “Who did Zeus marry?”, “What year did the Ancient Olympics start?”,  “What was the year that the Ancient Olympics had ended?” and more! Each and every one also used all their knowledge of what they’d already knew for the Olympics Ancient era to make a “Kahoot!” quiz.

Modern Olympics

This slide is a research about the Modern Olympics. As you could see our group worked it out together as we searched some informations and events to celebrate athletes who participated in the Modern sports. As both men and women competed in the Olympics they work together to represent and win the most medals for their countries. A various amount of sport events were played at the Olympics, very competitive, energetic, exhausting, and more likely for the win. The prizes are also based on what place you were placed in the Olympics (The sports you played.) If you placed 3rd you would get a Bronze medal, but 2nd is a little different, the prize for the 2nd place is a Silver Medal for your work in the Olympics. But lastly if it were to place 1st, you would get rewarded with a Golden Medal.

2 words 2 minutes

we used the ‘2 words 2 minute’ challenge to write a description about the ancient olympics. Along with your pair, both students will have to discuss of what they knew of the Ancient Olympics. We created a list of words (vocabulary) that would help us write our description. Here is an example of how 2 words 2 minutes work, First we choose two words like.. ‘Greece’ and ‘athletes’ to help us think about the story or explain we are gonna write.

Both pairs explain their ideas with eachother, and timed 2 minutes to turn the ideas into sentences. It is to try our best to use all the words in our minds. Right after 2 minutes been finished the pairs read their explanation together with all of the ideas they know in their minds. Pairs reread what we had written and make changes if anything didn’t make sense or had words and punctuation in the wrong place. To carry on writing the descriptions, The pairs count their words if they improved in writing.

This activity was inspiring because the activity makes you improve of how fast you could write in your book.
