Our challenge were to work in groups to carry out a mini collaborative inquiry into the ancient olympic games. Each of every group used their searching informations as in to help each of the people to find the answers to the questions asked. Our group worked on finding information about the ancient Greece olympics Something I found interesting along the way of searching facts for the ancient Greeks Olympics were the sports they played, considering it was different compared to the Modern ones. The sports were long jump, discus throw, javelin throw, a stadion race, and wrestling.

Catapult

A catapult has five different version of itself Mangonel , Onager ,  Ballista and lastly a trebuchet .
What is a catapult?: A catapult is similar to a slingshot but unlike the small toy/weapon , A catapult is made out of wood, and hard stone are its weapons to fling it at the upcoming enemy/brick wall. The catapult is also extinct since it was built from centuries ago.

I found this activity Interesting and fun because I learnt and built catapults with my group.

Samoan hand design

The other day it was the Samoan language week. Our teacher showed us a video of a person creating a samoan tatau to the other persons back. After the video our teacher showed us, everyone made Samoan design patterns on either a flower or a hand.

Matariki Star Design

First off in the lesson we start by designing an empty matariki star design template connected to Matariki and then explaining a story and  what it represents in the star as well as putting some cultural patterns for the designs

I found this activity Fun to make because we designed it digitally first and then doing it on paper.

Chinese Lantern Festival

First we worked in groups to discover more information and facts about the Chinese Lantern Festival and then putting all the info in different slides and processing the work all out together as a group.

I found this activity excellent because I learnt new things from the Chinese Lantern Festival.

My Pepeha

LI: To write and say our Pepeha

To help us to get to know eachother we wrote our pepehas. This allows us to make some connections and form some friendships in our class, LS2. Pepeha is a way of introducing yourself in Maori in ways such as sharing where your ancestors are from and who your ancestors are.

I found this activity fun because we learnt about each other more and we get to know each other.
