For this ‘Summer Learning Journey’ is called the ‘Chippy Challenge’ . For this challenge I will make a Fish n Chips Menu in Google Draw and design a logo. What I liked the most was designing the background and adding different background details for the menu, along with the process of creating the Fish n Chips logo. This ‘Summer Learning Journey’ was very entertaining to construct as I learnt three different Fish n Chips from other countries such as Singapores, Italys and lastly Denmarks. I found these interesting to make as I learnt three different versions of Fish n Chips from the three countries!

SLJ – Wavey Words – Word Art Poster
This activity in the ‘Summer Learning Journey’ are called ‘Wavey Words’ how the game works is to first make a copy of a link leading you to Google Draw from description leading you to three options of each column rows for you to fill up, the options are ‘Boats or Vessels’, ‘Birds’, ‘Ocean Floor features’, ‘Marine Life’, Objects’, and lastly ‘Shore line’. When you feel like you are struggling a link on the left should be clicked to help you out when it feels like a struggle to fill up.
After I have finished filling up all the three options inside of the six columns, I made a poster that includes whatever is about the ocean.
I found this ‘Summer Learning Journey’ activity pretty entertaining because I have learned a few new words from the ocean.
SLJ – Japanese Puffer Fish
For this ‘Summer Learning Journey’ we have watched a video about the ‘Japanese Puffer Fish’ while watching the video we have to learn five facts and explain in this paragraph of what you have learnt from it. After watching the recording we will follow the instructions told in the description telling us to make the ‘Japanese Puffer Fish’ in Google Draw, I have tried my best making the fish and it turned out to be pretty alright for this activity in ‘Summer Learning Journey’
Facts I’ve learnt about the Japanese Puffer Fish:
It is the natures greatest artist, the tools it use are his fins, the fish could not rest for more than a moment it works 24 hours a day for a week or else some current will destroy its creation, nowhere else in nature construct such thing as the ‘Japanese Puffer Fish’, it makes its art of sand to grab a females attention to make such perfect as art in sand.
Summer Learning Journey – Stonefish
For this ‘Summer Learning Journey’ our class learnt about the one and only dangerous Stonefish, it is the most dangerous fish in the ocean according to the video we have watched. There are two different videos to choose from, one is ‘Kick start’ the easy challenge, which why I chose to make this poster and lastly ‘Step it up’ this part is a challenge which also means it may be harder than ‘Kick start’. The three facts I have learnt from this ‘Summer Learning Journey’ challenge and the ‘Stonefish’ I learnt that the Stonefish is venomous followed by the second fact by hiding and burying itself in sand to catch its prey, the last fact I learnt was the fish itself is the most dangerous fish wandering around the ocean.
I found this Summer Learning Journey activity fun and engaging because the ‘Kick start’ activity tells us to make a wanted and do not approach poster about the stonefish!
Hauora Poster
In order to construct the Hauora poster, you will have to search for one pair that you do not usually make or do projects and work with. Alongside with your working buddy that you’ve chosen, Two of you will help and find important information about Hauora and its very own meaning to make the poster understandable and educating throught the given details searched up from the internet or your own prior knowledge which could also mean to use your own thinking along with what you could remember from getting educated. But as for Hauora, It is a Maori belief and has Four walls, First wall is called Taha Tinana, Second wall is Taha Wairua, Third wall is Taha Hinengaro, and lastly the Fourth wall is Taha Whanau. Inside the image on top of this paragraph shows more information for Hauora, Both text’s are examples that show what Hauora is.
I found this activity fun and pretty easy because drawing the house and helping eachother find information as pairs makes it easier to do the poster.
Tech – Steam
The topic for visiting Tech in Tamaki college is similiar to art but each of every subjects is all mixed together, for an example- everyone in the classroom was teached and also discussed about how unity works, making houses on a sheet of paper, drawing whilst listening to our teacher also including by reading books about Nanda, Ram, Roshni, Anju and some other anonymous two with no name but a role for them is included such as the mother and the fiance, as well as learning more about science and how light is the fastest thing on earth alongside with not even a single thing could have a chance of beating the speed of light. It travel 300,000 Kilometers per second which no single object nor something fast created in this earth can outrun a single raise of sunshine.
I found this learning in steam interesting as well of it being educating as I learnt from each minute passing by about the rise of a single light that travels over 300,000 each second.
Comrades Marathon: The Ultimate Human Race
I and my work mate, decided and discussed a prediction for the “Comrades Marathon: The Ultimate Human Race” judging from its title. But a Comrades Marathon is an annual ultra footrace that was held in KwaZulu-Natal South Africa. It’s a grueling test for human endurance that captivated runners and spectators for over a century. It is approximately a 87 Kilometers race that is an uphill journey that starts with the beginning from Durban to Pietermaritzburg. The Foot Race also has a strict Cut-Off time that lasts after around twelve hours. People considers maintaining Entry Limits so they could assure the runners who’d participated in the Long Marathon is safe with no injuries.
I find this activity educating because I’ve learnt more about a Marathon.
Scary Sea Creature
The very first step for the already stated lesson is to find one pair to work and find a Google image with your working buddy side by side. What you yourself and the working pair is going to have research is image an inspiration of a disgusting looking sea creature that are probably found from one of the deepest part of the ocean
or practically near the surface area. After the following start of creating the selected inspired image of a horrifying sea mammal in Google Draw, Both yourself and the pair will work out together of finding the AI generated version of the inspirational creature with the partner.
I found this activity pretty scary, fun and hard. It was scary because I was working with a person I do not usually work with, the hard part was most likely the finding the AI bits for the chosen species. But more likely the fun part is to find an ugly sea creature alongside with it inspired and created in Google Drawing!
Swimming
Yesterday was Thursday which can also include the fact that it is the time to learn in the swimming pool. Every Thursday is when our classrooms could go to the pool and learn how to swim step by step so we could stay aware of the ocean surrounding our country. The drowning system is very high and it is very important to learn swimming as to make sure to not never drown just in case of a flood happening in our country. The group I am in, is also learning how to swim safely so that us people could not drown from a flood or accident.
Ancient Olympics – Kahoot
My pair and myself created a “Kahoot!” quiz for the Ancient Greek Olympics. Finding clues and remembered information from what each and every one of us has been learning more about the Ancient Greek Olympics. Adding question for an example like “What sports they had in the Ancient time?”, “Who did Zeus marry?”, “What year did the Ancient Olympics start?”, “What was the year that the Ancient Olympics had ended?” and more! Each and every one also used all their knowledge of what they’d already knew for the Olympics Ancient era to make a “Kahoot!” quiz.
