SLJ – Octupus Oddities – Kick Start

LI: Create an Octupus using the online colouring tool or craft of your own!

For this Summer Learning Journey challenge, I’ve started off with an Octopus with no colouring, and as for this task; It is a requirement to colour it in with a certain colour that represents an Octopus. While colouring in, I have learnt that Octopuses have eight arms and no tentacles from beliefs; their arms have sucker muscular suction cups that they use to grip (Also used with their lenght.) Their tentacles think independently, which the Octopus was given the name of a multitasker! Their tentacles can also have a strong taste like a tastebud, which helps them taste things like us humans and other animals! These sea sticking creatures are quite huge, which they could grow up to 9 meters long, alongside three hearts and blue blood!

I found this activity really interesing because I get to learn more facts about the Octopus.

SLJ – Legs Legs Legs? Kick Start

LI: Mosha wants a new leg!

For this Summer Learning Journey Challenge, I have structured a new prosthetic leg for Mosha using Google Draw. As I continue to build this new leg, I’ve learnt that she stood on a landmine when she was just 7 months old, leading her to a penalty of losing her front leg on the left. A various amount of citiczens thought she would never have a chance of surviving, but she was saved by people that worked as a group, that gave her a chance of life.

I found this activity enjoyable because I get to create a new prosthetic leg for Mosha whilst also learning new facts about her.

SLJ – Leg Tally Kick Start

LI: To learn about giant centipedes.

For this Summer Learning Journey challenge, I’ve picked the Kick Start version of the Leg Tally using my Maths Knowledge for this assessment. As I carry on with my Maths Knowledge, I’ve also learnt new facts about this insect. It seems to be a large, and venomous predator coming from around the tropical regions, this predator seems to have been calculated to be 12 inches long. It also has a typical amount of animals to prey on which are; Lizards, Frogs, Bats, and Rodents. Talking about the typical amount of prey it eats, this insect has an ability that includes their front legs with venom, the front to paralyze animals it eats.

I found this activity really enjoyable because I get to share my Maths Knowledge and what I have learnt about the Giant Centipede so far.

SLJ – Art In The Web

For this Summer Learning Journey, I have structured on how to draw a spiderweb on a piece of paper using a marker to structure both webs at the same time. With the use of drawing the web; I have learnt that spiderwebs aren’t just any type of trap, they pose to be a work of art made by those little insects. While people not only pronounce their webs as traps and art, spiders are said to be experts at structuring their work of art using their webs and talent despite them being so little you could step on it.

I found this activity really enjoyable because I get to learn new facts about spiderwebs whilst also structuring my own on a piece of paper.

Summer Learning Journey – Animals With Superpowers

For this Summer Learning Journey; I’ve structured a sea water animal called the Red Lionfish using Google Draw. I have chosen this sea water species because it contains poison at the base of their spines. When confronted by a hazard, this type of fish releases the dorsal fins and faces the toxic spines in front of the cause of the hostility towards it.

I found this activity really enjoyable because I get to make the Red Lionfish using tools in Google Draw.

SLJ – Chippy Challenge – Fish n Chips Menu

For this ‘Summer Learning Journey’ is called the ‘Chippy Challenge’ . For this challenge I will make a Fish n Chips Menu in Google Draw and design a logo. What I liked the most was designing the background and adding different background details for the menu, along with the process of creating the Fish n Chips logo. This ‘Summer Learning Journey’ was very entertaining to construct as I learnt three different Fish n Chips from other countries such as Singapores, Italys and lastly Denmarks. I found these interesting to make as I learnt three different versions of Fish n Chips from the three countries!

SLJ – Wavey Words – Word Art Poster

This activity in the ‘Summer Learning Journey’ are called ‘Wavey Words’ how the game works is to first make a copy of a link leading you to Google Draw from description leading you to three options of each column rows for you to fill up, the options are ‘Boats or Vessels’, ‘Birds’, ‘Ocean Floor features’, ‘Marine Life’, Objects’, and lastly ‘Shore line’. When you feel like you are struggling a link on the left should be clicked to help you out when it feels like a struggle to fill up.

After I have finished filling up all the three options inside of the six columns, I made a poster that includes whatever is about the ocean.

I found this ‘Summer Learning Journey’ activity pretty entertaining because I have learned a few new words from the ocean.

SLJ – Japanese Puffer Fish

For this ‘Summer Learning Journey’ we have watched a video about the ‘Japanese Puffer Fish’ while watching the video we have to learn five facts and explain in this paragraph of what you have learnt from it. After watching the recording we will follow the instructions told in the description telling us to make the ‘Japanese Puffer Fish’ in Google Draw, I have tried my best making the fish and it turned out to be pretty alright for this activity in ‘Summer Learning Journey’

Facts I’ve learnt about the Japanese Puffer Fish:
It is the natures greatest artist, the tools it use are his fins, the fish could not rest for more than a moment it works 24 hours a day for a week or else some current will destroy its creation, nowhere else in nature construct such thing as the ‘Japanese Puffer Fish’, it makes its art of sand to grab a females attention to make such perfect as art in sand.

Summer Learning Journey – Stonefish

For this ‘Summer Learning Journey’ our class learnt about the one and only dangerous Stonefish, it is the most dangerous fish in the ocean according to the video we have watched. There are two different videos to choose from, one is ‘Kick start’ the easy challenge, which why I chose to make this poster and lastly ‘Step it up’ this part is a challenge which also means it may be harder than ‘Kick start’.  The three facts I have learnt from this ‘Summer Learning Journey’ challenge and the ‘Stonefish’ I learnt that the Stonefish is venomous followed by the second fact by hiding and burying itself in sand to catch its prey, the last fact I learnt was the fish itself is the most dangerous fish wandering around the ocean.

I found this Summer Learning Journey activity fun and engaging because the ‘Kick start’ activity tells us to make a wanted and do not approach poster about the stonefish!

2024 Learning Journey

I made a DLO for this period sessions Learning Journey . The subjects I did for this term are Writing , Maths , And lastly Reading . First thing to do in Writing is making information reports about the swamp tigers with your chosen group , Meanwhile in Maths , each Maths groups such as Group 1 , Group 2 ,  Group 3 , Group 4 , lastly group 5 , did Subtracton Algorithm and Addition Algorithm , For some people that don’t know what are subtraction and addition , well  subtraction is taking  the chosen number away but meanwhile with addition , it is the complete opposite of subtraction , instead of taking the numbers away we will have to add the number all up with the chosen number. What we did for Reading are making Nouns , Verbs , And more likely compound sentences , If you were to use Two nouns , Two verbs , Making the two things into a sentence.

I found this activity nice because i designed my own Learning Journey DLO whilst going throught my previous blogs.
